"I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way" — Dead Poets Society
My name is Mercer Meadows and I am a second year student at UNC-Chapel Hill—but that doesn't say much about me. I love playing guitar, hope core, pickleball, fall candles, pranking my friends, cringey comedy shows, good hair days, hats (for the bad hair days), snowboarding on fresh snow, Jesus, going for drives to scream my favorite songs, the color green, Montana in the summer, card games, and reading. I am currently navigating college as the ultimate optimist—or trying to, at least. At times, I've found it pretty challenging to maintain my optimistic energy: a heavy school load, being a nanny, moving away from home, making friends, keeping friends—the list of struggles never ends. However, when the negative thoughts creep into my brain, I choose to look at things from a different perspective. I believe that every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and with that mindset, I'm excited to keep learning, evolving, and making the most of every moment—both professionally and personally.
