Benny is the man. He lives in the pen next to his ladies and kept company by his wether brother, Jet. Benny and the Jet, ha. He’s a great guy as far as bucks go. He always performs on command, and is never the least bit rough or pushy with the does, just determined.
He’s fine with people, too, and though he has certainly rammed his way past me when there’s business to get to, he’s not agressive nor does he try very hard to get out of his pen–no jumping, no real fence-pushing. A great Herd Sire.

Heidi is the matron of our herd. She’s the first to great me when I walk outside, and the first to complain when the hay nets are empty. She has been a GREAT mother for us; almost always twins but one set of triplets. She’s very attentive to her babies, and while she’ll certainly leave them to go eat an interesting looking leaf, she’s quick to get right back to them when they call. I wish all my does were Heidis.

Heidi is the nosiest but Sophie is the sweetest. She won’t trot right up to you, but she’ll sit beside you for an hour if you’ll scratch her neck. She is the champion milk producer for us; after she gives birth she has the fullest udder we’ve ever seen, and will nurse her kids for six months if they stay on the farm. A great mother, almost always gives triplets, and provides more milk for her kids than anyone.
